MOBILE CRISIS RESPONSE

 
An on-scene mobile response Is available when referred by Police, Fire, or Emergency Services. Office appointments are available during office hours for anyone requiring assistance.

PROGRAMS

The VCARS Program is provided by specially trained crisis intervenors who are on call to emergency services in Brant County -- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Volunteers come from within the community and understand the particular needs of the area. A comprehensive screening process and on going training ensures that victims are assisted with dignity, respect, compassion and empathy.

 

REFERRALS

Include such occurrences as:

  • Spousal abuse
  • Family occurrence
  • Sexual assault
  • Robbery
  • Fire
  • Break and enter
  • Property crimes/ damages
  • Homicide
  • Suicide (attempts)
  • Sudden death
  • Stalking
  • Traffic accidents
Referrals can be made either by the police,
the agency as well as the individual, yourself.

 

Victim Impact Statment

The Criminal Code defines a victim as: a person to whom harm was done or who suffered physical or emotional loss as a result of the commission of an offence. As a victim you have the right to prepare a Victim Impact Statement. For assistance in completing a Victim Impact Statement contact Victim Services of Brant.
